About Us

Trinny Cee Productions was founded in the summer of 1997 by Merina Neal, affectionately known as Trinny Cee. The name reflects her roots—Trinny for Trinidad & Tobago, where she was raised from the age of 10, and Cee for Canada, where she was born in Edmonton, Alberta.

With over 25 years of expertise in event production, marketing, communications, and project leadership, Merina is a veteran event strategist and project manager. Her background in accounting and her passion for culture have shaped her reputation for producing dynamic, meaningful, and meticulously organized experiences that celebrate Afro-Caribbean heritage.

Under her leadership, Trinny Cee Productions has curated and produced unforgettable Afro-Caribbean events across the Midwest, Canada, and Jamaica. She has collaborated with major industry players, including AEG Live, Live Nation, First Avenue, and The Cabooze, as well as top venues throughout the Twin Cities. Signature events include Minnesota Dancehall Queen, International Dancehall Queen, the Minnesota Tropical Music & Food Festival, and Rondo Days.

Beyond events, Merina is a dedicated community leader. She currently serves on the boards of Rondo Avenue Inc. and the Jamaica Minnesota Organization, and as a Consortium member for the Caribbean Disaster Relief Fund of Minnesota. She also hosts the monthly TV show "Live On Stage Twin Cities" on CCX Media, where she showcases local talent and cultural events.

At its heart, Trinny Cee Productions exists to celebrate culture, amplify community voices, and create unforgettable experiences that bring people together.
